Canteen Position Title: ROUTE SCHEDULER & ACCOUNT MANAGER - TAMPA, FL Reports To: Operations Director Salary: $68,000 - $72,000, depending on experience Other Forms of Compensation: Yearly Bonus Opportunity The Route Scheduler is responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing daily routes for Smart Service, Office Coffee Service (OCS), Vending, and Micro Market operations. This role works closely with drivers, Customer Service Managers (CSMs), and leadership to ensure efficient route execution, maximize customer service levels, and support operational excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities u00b7 Coordinate and manage daily route schedules for Vending, OCS, Smart Service, and Micro Market operations. u00b7 Utilize Cantaloupe scheduling software to optimize routes, improve efficiency, and ensure timely customer service. u00b7 Manage route merchandising activities utilizing Cantaloupe merchandising tools. u00b7 Communicate daily with drivers, CSMs, and operations teams regarding route changes, schedule adjustments, merchandising updates, missed picks, and service exceptions. u00b7 Monitor route performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and service delivery. u00b7 Provide daily updates and performance insights to management. u00b7 Maintain accurate scheduling records and ensure route information is updated in company systems. u00b7 Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications u00b7 Previous route driver, route planning, dispatch, logistics, or scheduling experience preferred. u00b7 Experience in vending, office coffee service, foodservice distribution, or related industries is a plus. u00b7 Strong computer skills, including Excel and the ability to learn new software and technology platforms. u00b7 Experience utilizing route scheduling or dispatch software preferred. u00b7 Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. u00b7 Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, management, and cross-functional teams. u00b7 Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. u00b7 Ability to lift to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. u00b7 High school diploma or GED required. _Growth. This role manages route drivers, ensures consistent product availability, and serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns. The CSM works closely with drivers, clients, and the operations team to proactively resolve issues, maintain service standards, and support efficient operations. The ideal candidate is customer focused, well organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while building strong, positive relationships with clients. This position plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, retention, and overall operational performance. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Responsible for site visits and client retention u2022 Assist branches with grand openings u2022 Ensure we are compliant with local and national account standards; review corporate compliance reporting u2022 Ensure action plans are developed and implemented to improve SSS/control V-9 (food waste, o/s, etc.) u2022 Develop an account level incremental sales plan with local management; track performance and increase profitability (Owners Business Plan) u2022 Coordinate efforts to improve customer retention and client experience at the point of sale u2022 Build retail pricing opportunities and encourage repeat sales (Best Practices), and introduce new products to increase revenue u2022 Drive compliance to merchandising standards u2022 Assess performance by location through audit reports (Quarterly District Evaluations) u2022 Perform the job functions of the Route Driver position, when needed, including driving a company vehicle over an established route to deliver products, render services, and fill and maintain vending and related equipment. Preferred Qualifications: u2022 A bacheloru2019s degree is preferred; two-year College degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable u2022 Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and developing frontline teams u2022 Experience managing employee performance, including goal setting, coaching, and corrective action u2022 Experience training, onboarding, and developing employees to achieve business and customer service objectives u2022 Route management, retail or food & beverage management, and merchandising experience is preferred u2022 3 years driving experience required u2022 Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license (unless otherwise indicated by state) and good driving record u2022 Preferred 3+ yearsu2019 experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 2 years of related experience u2022 Ability to operate or willingness to learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.) u2022 Excellent communication skills required u2022 Must be able to travel to client sites u2022 Must be passionate about providing world class service to our clients and customers u2022 Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis Apply to Canteen today _Canteen is a member of Compass Group USA_ Click here to Learn More about the Compass Story ( Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
