Lead Safety and Loss Prevention Officer

SALARY RANGE - This position pays $21.00-23.00/hour. The Lead Safety and Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for providing protection and communication with resort guests and employees. The role is also responsible for patrolling resort premises to maintain security detect and report fire security and safety hazards and/or violations of the resorts rules and regulations.

Essential Functions

• Must adhere to the companys Service culture 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
• Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
• Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
• Maintain visual contact with the Front Desk/Night Auditor and the front door of the resort by remaining in the Lobby area when not on property walks.
• Maintain and review daily activity log.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
• Hold briefings with Guest Services staff both at the beginning and end of shift.
• Check ID of visitors/employees as necessary.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Maintain an awareness of legal limitation of position (local state and/or federal ordinances).
• Assist guests to their rooms or assist guests w/entry into their rooms according to resort standards.
• Assist during medical emergencies.
• Respond to emergency situations including medical security guest complaints etc.
• Assist outside agencies as necessary to maintain effective liaison.
• Respond to altercations and investigate.
• Have knowledge of resort and guestroom locking systems.
• Monitor TV cameras if applicable.
• Administer First Aid/CPR as necessary.
• Report suspicious activities on property and check safety hazards.
• Complete Incident/Accident reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Patrol area to ensure that areas are secure and free of unauthorized persons and disturbances.
• Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
• Report directly to the Safety & Loss Prevention Supervisor Assistant Director and Director.
• Provide daily leadership guidance and support to Safety & Loss Prevention Officers.
• Coordinate daily assignments patrols shift coverage and departmental responsibilities.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure effective communication between shifts and management.
• Monitor officer performance provide coaching and report concerns to management.
• Assist with training and onboarding new officers ensuring compliance with departmental SOPs and Post Orders.
• Review daily activity logs incident reports and assigned tasks for accuracy and completion.
• Assist with overseeing Lost & Found operations guest follow-up and departmental systems.
• Take the lead during emergencies and coordinate the initial response until relieved by management or emergency personnel.
• Conduct safety inspections identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions.
• Immediately notify management of serious incidents employee injuries security concerns and significant guest complaints.
• Ensure officers follow resort policies safety procedures and the 4 Keys service standards.
• Maintain accountability for assigned tasks and communicate outstanding issues to management.
• Assist with maintaining departmental equipment supplies and operational readiness.
• Serve as the shifts primary point of contact when management is unavailable operating within established authority.
• Perform other leadership and operational duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Experience at a resort or related field preferred.
• Valid drivers license is a must.
• Must be 18 to operate a golf cart.

Working Conditions and Schedule

• Weekend and holiday availability is required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
• The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week over 40 hours including nights weekends and holidays.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to climb stairs descend stairs and run.
• On occasion must physically deter individuals who pose a threat to guests and/or employees.
• This role requires operating of a golf cart and a company owned vehicle.
