This is a rare chance to shape the future of community-based medicine while enjoying the unparalleled quality of life that Vermont offers—from tight-knit communities to world-class outdoor recreation.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership: Provide expert supervision to medical staff and contracted providers, advancing evidence-based standards across all agency programs.Direct Care: Deliver high-quality psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and MOUD (Medications for Opioid Use Disorder) services, maintaining a productivity standard of approximately 27 billable units/week.Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement medical policies, protocols, and clinical programming to ensure excellence in patient outcomes and CCBHC compliance.Consultation & Collaboration: Act as the primary psychiatric consultant for interdisciplinary teams and cultivate strong partnerships with regional healthcare stakeholders.Quality & Risk Management: Lead peer reviews, utilization reviews, and quality assurance initiatives to maintain the highest levels of care and regulatory compliance.QualificationsEducation & Boarding: M.D. or D.O. with completion of an accredited psychiatry residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.Licensure: Licensed (or eligible) to practice medicine in the State of Vermont without restriction.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in psychiatry, including at least 1 year in a community mental health setting.Specialization: Proven experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is required.Technical Savvy: Proficient with EMR systems and telehealth platforms.Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain affiliate medical staff membership at the local regional medical center.Why Join This Network?Our organization is guided by values of accountability, respect, and person-centered care.
