This role supports ocean freight movements across multiple export jurisdictions and acts as a control point between shippers, customs brokers, carriers, and internal operations teams. The position exists to reduce compliance risk, prevent shipment delays, and maintain data accuracy across export filings and carrier documentation. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping instructions, certificates, and supporting regulatory documents Submit export filings in accordance with country‑specific customs and export control requirements Coordinate with customs brokers, shippers, carriers, and internal operations teams to confirm documentation readiness Verify consistency of shipment data across booking, documentation, and customs systems Monitor filing deadlines and vessel cut‑offs to prevent delays or penalties Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies prior to cargo loading Maintain accurate records and document status updates within the Skypace platform Support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inquiries related to export filings Operational Interfaces: Works closely with ocean freight operations and booking teams Interfaces with external customs brokers and regulatory authorities Coordinates with customers on document accuracy and compliance requirements Supports carrier documentation and bill of lading issuance workflows Required Experience and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in export documentation or export customs clearance within freight forwarding or logistics Working knowledge of export compliance procedures and filing requirements Familiarity with Incoterms, shipping instructions, and ocean freight documentation flows High attention to detail and ability to manage time‑sensitive filings Comfortable working with digital documentation and freight management systems Clear written and verbal communication skills This role operates within a live freight execution environment where documentation accuracy directly affects shipment timelines, compliance exposure, and customer outcomes.
