Staff Accountant / Insurance Accounting Specialist/ Bookkeeper

Compensation

• $60,000, depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, from invoice processing to vendor payments
• Own accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation
• Deposit and record client payments and insurance carrier commission checks
• Reconcile daily bank activity and post journal entries
• Complete monthly and year-end general ledger reconciliations
• Reconcile agency bill and direct bill commission statements, resolving carrier discrepancies
• Support audits, financial reporting, and special projects

What You'll Need to be Considered

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Comfortable in Excel
• Insurance agency accounting background strongly preferred
• Professional and detail-oriented
