Join the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health as an Event Coordinator and play a key role in supporting a wide range of events that support a world-class academic and healthcare mission. In this position, you will lead the planning and coordination of a wide range of events, bringing people together in meaningful and engaging ways.

Additonal Information:

• This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Candidates must be available to support evening and weekend events as needed.
  
• The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
  
• This position requires heavy lifting/moving up to 50lbs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Assists with planning and the creation of promotional materials and resources for events

• Greets customers/guests, assists with registration, answers questions, and refers complex issues to appropriate entities

• Monitors and processes event related transactions and event data and records

• Schedules logistics and secures resources for all aspects of events including space, vendors, and staff; and coordinates details and resolves operational issues

• Communicates with customers to determine event details and requirements, evaluates requests, recommends service plans and pricing, and provides status updates

Compensation:
The starting salary for the position is $24.80/hour; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of professional experience in event planning
  
• Experience providing customer service, administrative support, or similar
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience scheduling and organizing complex event logistics with attention to detail.
  
• Experience with digital communications, event registration, and survey creation.
  

Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
