Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:15 - 18:45) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; will consider 1 year if from a Level 1 trauma facility. License: Pending license accepted. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Required experience in circulating for cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases. Scrub skillset is not required for day shift but is highly preferred. First-timers accepted only with more than 2 years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility. Weekend call as needed; required per call policy. Must float within the service line to meet facility needs. Description: This position involves working three 12-hour shifts from 06:15 to 18:45. The clinician will circulate in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. Experience with cardiac and thoracic cases is required. The facility performs open and endovascular vascular procedures, transplants, and Whipple procedures. Emergent cases are common in this fast-paced department with the highest level of care in the region. All staff are responsible for maintaining accurate records within the surgical instrument tracking system. The expectation of timely response for emergencies and case preparation is paramount. Call shifts may be variable, with around 3-4 weekday and 1-2 weekend shifts every 6-week scheduling period based on unit needs. Holidays may be included as necessary, customized in advance. The department serves adult patients, providing care in a dynamic surgical environment.
