10-4 Logistics USA is recruiting CDL-A Regional Drivers based in Hamden, CT to join a Northeast regional fleet offering consistent weekly home time, mileage-based pay, and a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Drivers typically operate regional freight from Northern North Carolina through New England and as far west as Eastern Ohio, with home time on Saturday and Sunday.
- $4,000 sign-on bonus
- $0.80–$0.85 per mile
- Home Saturday and Sunday for a 34-hour reset
- Average 1,500 miles per week, depending on hours and freight availability
- Average length of haul approximately 400 miles
- Up to $0.03 per mile performance bonus (up to 3 CPM) based on safety, mileage, and productivity
- Additional stop pay, detention pay, and Long Island delivery pay
- Late-model equipment: 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth tractors
- Benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and paid time off
- Top regional drivers on this fleet can earn up to $1,850 weekly
- Additional pay structure: $20 for the first stop, $35 for the second stop, $50 for the third stop and beyond; $65 for Long Island deliveries; detention pay of $12.50 per hour after 2 hours
Lane details
- Routes include a mix of live loads and preloaded trailers throughout the Northeast regional network.
- Primary running area is generally Virginia to Maine, with frequent freight lanes from Northern North Carolina up to Maine and as far west as Eastern Ohio.
- Occasional assignments outside the primary area may be used to maximize miles while preserving weekly reset time.
- Drivers who opt to remain out instead of returning home for their reset may have opportunities to run additional weekend freight for extra miles and pay.
- Willingness to operate in New York City is advantageous but not required.
- Position is based in Hamden, CT, and supports consistent regional operations from this location.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum three months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Must meet U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) safety and medical requirements
- Willingness to handle live loads and preloaded trailer freight
