About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry/Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Candidates must pass an exam during orientation. Candidates must receive a score of 90% to pass the exam. Candidates must have a driver's license. Candidates must remove artificial nails before starting. Candidates must be outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility. Description: This is a telemetry/med surgical unit with a total of 60 beds. The patient population primarily consists of adults, with a small number of pediatric cases. Common patient diagnoses include post-surgical conditions, diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, weakness, and cancer. Shifts will follow a schedule of 0630-1900 and 1830-0700, with every other weekend required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1. Candidates should have a positive mindset, be team players, and value collaboration. This role serves a diverse population. Float to other units may be required, including acute rehab and geriatric psych units. Scrubs must be navy in color. The electronic medical record system used is Epic.
