What To Expect
The Service Installer is an essential part of Tesla’s Field Energy Operations team. Employees working in this role are leading the drive towards completing Tesla’s mission—to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. As a Service Installer, each employee is working with the latest solar technology, building relationships with team members, and completing the installation of our products safely and on time. Tesla’s ideal candidate will have a passion for learning basic energy system construction, terminology, and concepts. This position is an hourly role that requires working outside in extreme environments, working at heights, and prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. What You'll Do Support the Crew Lead and Electrician on the successful servicing and maintenance of Tesla’s solar products Attend weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions on new products, best service practices, and standard workmanship guidelines Follow building standards and codes when installing and servicing panels and support structures Assist with routine maintenance on energy systems Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers What You'll Bring Experience in roof work, general construction or carpentry preferredAbility to safely handle power tools, hand tools as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.Excellent problem-solving skillsExcellent attendance is essential for the team to achieve successTravel is mandatory and will vary dependent on business needs. Employees must be able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, several times a year to various locations within the US. Must have compliant government issued identification for domestic air travel and/or to access certain federal facilitiesMust be able to work at great heights, work in extreme environments, perform prolonged periods of repetitious duties, and lift at least 50 pounds frequentlyValid driver's license required Benefits

Installer I - $19.30 - $28.96/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
