Bright Star Counseling is seeking a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our compassionate team serving seniors in Cape Coral, Florida. This full-time remote position is integral to our detox center, where you will have the opportunity to make meaningful impacts on the lives of seniors and their families by providing essential psychosocial support and counseling.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while participating in a dynamic treatment team at our detox center. You will engage with clients from the comfort of your own environment, supplemented by regular video consultations, phone calls, and in-person visits when necessary. Your working hours will primarily be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential evening or weekend hours to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the psychosocial needs of senior clients, focusing on emotional, mental, and social factors that affect their quality of life.

• Collaborate closely with seniors and their families to formulate customized care plans that align with their personal goals and preferences.

• Provide counseling and emotional support to help seniors navigate transitions and challenges in their lives, promoting resilience and improved coping skills.

• Advocate for clients’ rights, facilitating access to necessary community resources and services, such as healthcare, housing, and social groups.

• Work with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses and healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.

• Perform regular monitoring visits to assess clients' living conditions, addressing any concerns regarding safety or social isolation.

• Facilitate effective communication and conflict resolution among family members involved in the care of senior clients.

• Educate clients and families about resources available in the community, guiding them toward programs that enhance social connections and overall well-being.

• Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, assessments, care plans, and progress notes to uphold compliance with regulatory standards.

• Stay current with best practices in social work and adhere to ethical standards and policies affecting the profession.

Your primary focus will be on senior clients in a detox environment, many of whom face complex challenges related to addiction, mental health, and age-related issues. You will play a critical role in improving their psychosocial circumstances, facilitating recovery, and ensuring they have the emotional support they need throughout their journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, particularly in geriatric or community settings.

\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
