Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and record initial patient assessments; prioritize care based on age and needs.
- Conduct systematic reassessments to monitor patient progress and trends.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in line with Nursing Standards.
- Make informed nursing decisions and modify care plans as required.
- Participate in health education and discharge planning for patients and their families.
- Document timely interventions tailored to patient needs and evaluate care plans.
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Staff Responsibilities:
- Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Delegate unit work assignments to ensure timely and efficient patient care.
- Coordinate team assignments to adapt to patient and unit needs.
- Participate in the orientation of new staff and students.
- Promote a positive work environment and demonstrate a supportive attitude.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve unit and organizational goals.

Customer Relations:
- Exhibit behaviors that foster high levels of patient satisfaction and respect patients' rights.
- Maintain effective communication to promote harmony and teamwork within the unit.
- Uphold the hospital's credibility, integrity, and positive image.

Other Responsibilities:
- Assist with special projects and adapt readily to changes in the work environment.
- Maintain a positive attitude, even during high-stress situations.
- Take responsibility for professional growth and development.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current New Mexico RN license or Compact state license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Current knowledge and skills relevant to the patient population served.

Work Schedule:
- Full-Time Position: 7 AM - 5 PM
