Area Supervisor

FPG provides day to day cleaning and maintenance services to a variety of clients from schools, universities, medical facilities, dealerships, airports, homeowner associations and many more. We have a quality control & safety manager who overseas our accounts to ensure that the quality and safety meets our level of expectations. Our area mangers are in charge of overseeing a series of accounts in which they handle all the hiring, supply control, and training for supervisors, lead porters, housekeepers, janitors and the maintenance team. About the Role: The Area Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing multiple operational sites within a designated geographic region to ensure consistent performance and adherence to company standards. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence by coordinating with site managers, monitoring key performance indicators, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Area Supervisor acts as a liaison between upper management and frontline teams, facilitating communication and ensuring that corporate policies and procedures are effectively executed. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, team leadership, and resource management to meet business objectives and support growth. Ultimately, the Area Supervisor ensures that all locations under their supervision operate smoothly, safely, and profitably while fostering a positive work environment. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a multi-site operational environment. Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple locations effectively. Strong knowledge of operational best practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the specific industry relevant to the company’s operations (e.g., retail, logistics, manufacturing). Advanced certifications in management, leadership, or operational excellence (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP). Proficiency with operational management software and data analysis tools. Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives. Ability to travel frequently within the assigned geographic area. Responsibilities: Supervise and support site managers and staff across multiple locations to ensure operational goals are met. Conduct regular site visits to assess performance, compliance, and customer service standards. Analyze operational data and reports to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Implement company policies, procedures, and safety regulations consistently across all sites. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and morale. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate resources and resolve operational issues promptly. Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement. Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation within the assigned area. Skills: The Area Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to motivate and guide site managers and their teams toward achieving operational goals. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting performance data and identifying areas for improvement, enabling informed decision-making. Organizational and time management skills help coordinate multiple locations and prioritize tasks effectively. Problem-solving abilities are critical when addressing operational challenges and implementing corrective actions promptly.
