Role Overview
Evaluate AI-generated answers to practical questions of Japanese law by comparing responses from two AI platforms and applying a standardized assessment rubric.
Key Responsibilities
- Run an assigned set of legal prompts through two AI language-model platforms.
- Review and compare both responses side by side.
- Score each response using the provided standardized rubric.
- Provide concise written feedback for every evaluation.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of primarily law-firm experience in litigation, disputes, or another contentious practice area. Three or more years is preferred.
- Applicants currently working in-house are eligible only if they moved in-house within the past 2 years and previously practised at a law firm.
- Qualified to practise in Japan as a bengoshi or registered foreign lawyer, gaikokuho jimu bengoshi.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese litigation and procedural law.
- Native or fluent Japanese skills, including precise written communication.
- Ability to work independently, follow a rubric, and meet deadlines.
Work Terms
- Remote role based in Japan.
- Hourly independent contractor engagement.
- Initial commitment of approximately 10 hours.
- All work is subject to a non-disclosure agreement.
Compensation
140 to 150 per hour.
