Corporate/M&A Lawyer for Legal AI Evaluation [Remote]

Role Overview

Evaluate how AI systems respond to practical questions involving Japanese law, using your corporate and M&A legal experience to assess accuracy, quality, and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

• Run the same prompts through two AI language-model platforms.
• Review and compare the two responses side by side.
• Score each response using a standardized evaluation rubric.
• Provide concise written feedback for every evaluation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of primarily law-firm experience in corporate/M&A or transactional practice, with 3 or more years preferred.
• If currently working in-house, you must have moved in-house within the past 2 years and have prior law-firm experience.
• Qualified to practise law in Japan, with strong knowledge of Japanese corporate and commercial law.
• Native or fluent Japanese language ability and precise written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow a rubric, and meet deadlines.

Work Terms

• Remote role based in Japan.
• Hourly independent contractor engagement.
• Initial commitment of approximately 10 hours, with potential for additional work.
• All work is subject to a non-disclosure agreement.

Compensation

140 to 150 per hour.
