Quick Facts Location: 850 West Baraga Avenue, Marquette, MI 49855 Start Date: 06/10/2026 (flexible) End Date/Duration: Ongoing, with initial assignment through at least 06/16/2026 Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-hour call coverage) Hours/Week: Variable (approx. 2–4 hours onsite/day, 2–5 calls per night) Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certs: MI state medical license, BLS/ACLS certification Experience: Prior urology or surgical experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hour Benefits: Competitive pay package Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical Benefits (W-2 Comprehensive Medical) Paid sick time in accordance with state and federal laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Supportive 24/7 team dedicated to your success What You’ll Do Provide in-house and call coverage for urology patients Respond to 2–4 patient calls per night, with onsite call-ins as needed Manage approximately 1–5 patient consultations per shift Perform inpatient rounding on new admissions and patients needing ongoing care Document all call-back hours and patient interactions accurately Assist with common urological procedures such as kidney stone management, stent placements, and hematuria evaluation Support patient discharge planning and follow-up What You Need Valid Michigan medical license and DEA registration BLS and ACLS certifications At least 1–2 years of relevant medical or surgical experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to respond within 20 minutes during on-call hours About the Assignment This ongoing coverage at a prominent hospital in Marquette involves providing comprehensive urology support, including daytime inpatient rounds and 24-hour call coverage.
