Gastroenterology Practice | Arlington, TX | Full-Time

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our growing gastroenterology practice in Arlington.

Our front desk is an important part of our patients’ experience. We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, compassionate, and able to stay calm and productive in a busy medical office. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well with both patients and coworkers, and can work independently while being a strong team player.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and check patients in and out in a professional and welcoming manner
• Answer a high volume of incoming calls and assist patients with questions
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances
• Process referrals and obtain required documentation
• Obtain and maintain accurate patient records and insurance information
• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, referrals, medical records, and other office needs
• Coordinate closely with providers, medical assistants, billing, and other members of the practice
• Follow all HIPAA, privacy, and practice policies
• Maintain an organized and professional front-desk environment
• Assist with other administrative duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Previous medical office or medical receptionist experience
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work well with patients, providers, and coworkers

Preferred:

• Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Experience with insurance verification and referrals
• Experience in a specialty medical practice
• Gastroenterology experience is a plus, but not required

Position Details

Position: Full-Time Medical Receptionist
Location: Arlington, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: $16–$19 per hour, depending on experience
