CAD Technician

Electrical Cad TechA leading EPS Firm is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join its Fort Worth, TX team. This position will support detailers, designers, and engineers in producing high-quality drafting and design deliverables for a variety of infrastructure and utility projects. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of computer-aided drafting and design solutions while gaining experience in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and revision of engineering drawings based on sketches, layouts, and project specifications.Support the development and revision of permit drawings and plot plans.Follow established drafting standards, procedures, and discipline-specific best practices.Assist with drafting, design, and project documentation for various utility and infrastructure projects.Utilize standard drafting software and design tools to complete assigned tasks.Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives related to drafting and design production.Research project-related concerns and provide recommendations for resolving design challenges.Collaborate effectively with project teams and perform additional duties as assigned.Comply with all applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.Required Skills:AutoCADCivil 3DUtilitiesDistribution DesignPower LinesPlot DrawingsPreferred Qualifications:Associate's Degree required.Coursework in Drafting Technology or a specialized CAD certification required.Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work independently.Self-motivated learner with a strong desire to grow within the engineering and design field.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
