Law Firm Human Resources Specialist

CBIZ Talent Solutions is partnering with a top law firm with multiple offices in the search for a Human Resources Specialist. It can be based in either their Century City or Downtown Los Angeles office. The role will have a big focus on employee relations and performance management. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with different individuals at all levels. Knowledge of California and federal employment laws a must. This is a hybrid position that offers two remote days per week once trained with occasional travel to other offices. Bachelor's Degree required and PHR/SHRM-CP preferred. 5+ years of HR experience from law or professional services required.

Duties

-Provide HR onboarding training to new employees

-Provide coaching to managers and supervisors, including coaching on performance management, effective leadership and employee relations

-Maintain knowledge of changes to employment laws and advise management of implications

-Handle employee relations coaching and counseling

-Collaborate with attorneys and HR management on employee relations and compliance issues

-Assist with year end performance review cycle

-Provide guidance to all employees on HR programs and workplace matters

-Plan and execute programs, procedures and guidelines to align the workforce with the firm's strategic goals

-Oversee mandatory firm training

-Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

-5+ years of Human Resources experience from a law firm (preferred) or professional services required with an emphasis on employee relations ( PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE)

-Bachelor's Degree required

-PHR/SHRM-CP preferred

-Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels

-Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications

-Experience with Ultimate Software (UKG) preferred

The salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 DOE. Exempt role.
