Software Engineer  (C#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, ASP.Net MVC, Angular, React) in Ames, Iowa

Position: Software Engineer  (C#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, ASP.Net MVC, Angular, React)

Location: Ames, Iowa

Duration: Full-Time Permanent positions (no contracts, no corp to corp, no remote)    

Salary:  Excellent Compensation  with benefits +  interview travel + 401K

SKILLS: C#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, ASP.Net MVC, Angular, React, iOS UI, Android UI, Azure, AWS, Agile

DESCRIPTION:

In this position, you, along with your teammates, will be responsible for designing and delivering quality, innovative solutions to customer needs. This is a challenging opportunity to gain experience and expertise in a variety of programming environments. There will be opportunities to participate in training and personal development.

Responsibilities:

-Work with team members to design, implement and test innovative solutions to customer needs

-Deliver high-quality working code within a sprint boundary

-Demonstrate working features to a wide audience within the company

-Show courage and openness by actively participating in retrospectives and code reviews, focusing on growth of yourself and your team

-Work as needed on applications written in a variety of programming languages

Qualifications/Skills:

-Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited academic institution in computer science, software engineering, or other engineering discipline; Or comparable experience

-5+ years’ experience and strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and JQuery; comfortable with CSS

-Moderate understanding of C#

-Experience with a modern web framework preferred (e.g. ASP.NET MVC, Angular, React)

Additional areas of interest:

-iOS or Android UI experience

-Experience working with a deployment in a cloud environment (e.g. Azure, AWS)

-Working knowledge of Agile software development methods

-Agile environment background, preferably Scrum

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

-Professional C# Experience 

-HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, comfort with CSS 

-Experience with a modern web framework (e.g. ASP.NET MVC, Angular, React) 

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

-We are looking to hire individuals with 5+ years experience in C#, with a background in HTML/JavaScript/CSS/JQuery. 

-They should also have experience with a modern web framework (e.g. ASP.NET MVC, angular, react). 

-If you have never used C# in a professional environment, then you will not be our ideal choice.
