Key Responsibilities Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Contribute to the security team’s effort by accomplishing related duties as assigned. Make timely decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations. Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers. Protect the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues. Follow procedures for various initiatives, patrolling premises regularly. Provide exceptional customer service. Sustain effective relationships with customers and the client. Adhere to all company service and operating standards. Qualifications At least 3 years of security experience, preferably in a corporate environment. Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to events (signings, shows, etc.) in the Southern California area. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual language skills are a plus. Ability to analyze and use logic and reasoning to determine how a problem should be approached. Attentive to the reactions of others and able to read body language well. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Strong active listening skills and the ability to foster trusting interpersonal relationships. High school graduate required. Reserve/Former military preferred. Police officer experience preferred. Physical Requirements Uses computer: typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time. Hand use: regular hand use for various tasks. Hearing requirements: ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions. Lifting and carrying: ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 25 pounds. Phone answering: talking on the phone and texting may be required, as well as manual dexterity to operate a computer and phone system efficiently. Sitting or standing: ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Compensation The reasonable estimated hourly range for this position is $23 - $24. Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non‑discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
