Pharmacy Technician 2The Pharmacy Technician 2 obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.The Pharmacy Technician 2 will report to the Pharmacist Lead and will retrieve, count, and measure drugs. In addition, you will:Assist the Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.Access, input, and retrieves prescription information from computer.Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.May operate a cash register.Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.Required Qualifications:Active unrestricted Florida Pharmacy Technician licenseMinimum 2 years of experience working as a Pharmacy TechnicianSkilled in using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc. and ability to learn new systems and platformsThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
