Senior Patching Engineer

Leading the patch strategy and vulnerability management in a remote, contract-to-hire capacity, the Senior Patching Engineer will manage the end-to-end patching lifecycle for a large-scale federal environment, ensuring compliance with federal standards while providing guidance to junior engineers. Key responsibilities Own patch strategy and monitor vulnerability sources, including federal advisories and CVEs Lead image development and maintenance, coordinating mitigations when vendor patches are unavailable Perform post-deployment validation to verify system functionality and security posture Required qualifications 7+ years of experience in patch management or vulnerability engineering in a federal environment Hands-on experience with SCCM, RedHat Satellite, and IBM BigFix Experience operating across Windows and Linux platforms in large-scale endpoint environments BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Prior or current Public Trust clearance
