Job Title: Assembler II

Job Description

The Assembler II plays a key role in building mechanical and electrical assemblies, using hand and power tools to produce high-quality units. This position focuses on assembling components, including wire harnesses, according to blueprints and specifications while maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency on the production floor.

1st shift: 6am to 2:30pm

$23 - $24

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components into complete units using hand and power tools.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions to perform accurate assembly work.
• Build and route wire harnesses and related cabling according to specified layouts and standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks.
• Handle and lift units weighing approximately 50–60 lbs, including assemblies as large as a small refrigerator.
• Inspect assembled products for quality, accuracy, and completeness, and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient production.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating tools and handling materials.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Document work as required, including recording assembly steps, issues, or adjustments.

Essential Skills

• Approximately 3 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for mechanical assembly work.
• Experience operating power tools safely and effectively during assembly processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Capability to perform wire harness assembly, routing, and termination.
• Physical ability to regularly lift and move units weighing 50–60 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Reliability and consistency in meeting production schedules and deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Assembler or in a similar assembly role.
• Soldering experience is a plus and beneficial for electrical assembly tasks.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components used in assemblies.
• Comfort working with larger assemblies, including units as big as a small refrigerator.
• Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and assembly techniques.

Work Environment

This role is based in a hands-on manufacturing or production setting where you will work with hand tools, power tools, wire harnesses, and larger mechanical assemblies. You can expect an active, physical workday on the shop floor, with a focus on precision, efficiency, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Standard work attire typically includes practical, comfortable clothing suitable for a production environment and any required protective equipment provided in accordance with safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
