Director, Online Business Operations (remote)

Director of Operations | Chicago We are seeking a results-driven Director of Operations to support the growth and operational performance of our PE-backed ophthalmology group. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this leader will oversee regional Practice Managers, partner with physician leadership, and drive operational excellence, financial performance, and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on leader with a strong track record of scaling healthcare operations, developing high-performing teams, and improving practice profitability. Oversee daily operations and performance across multiple ophthalmology practices. Drive financial performance through revenue growth, expense management, and labor optimization. Analyze operational and financial KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, organizational policies, and quality standards. Oversee inventory, equipment utilization, and practice-level asset management. Support strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integrations. Extensive experience in operations leadership, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment. Proven track record of improving operational performance and financial results. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labor management, and KPI analysis. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and scale operations. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
