Licensed HVAC Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed HVAC Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established client.

This position is responsible for installing, servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in multifamily residential properties, single-family residences, and commercial facilities.

Candidates must hold a current Texas HVAC license and EPA certification and have hands-on HVAC service experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, provides excellent customer service, and can efficiently troubleshoot and complete service calls.

Successful candidates will be eligible for conversion to the client’s permanent team after completion of the 90-day probationary period, along with a pay increase upon successful completion of the 90-day period.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, install, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot heating and air conditioning systems and determine appropriate repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Inspect, clean, repair, and replace HVAC components as needed.
• Test refrigerant lines, tubing joints, and connections for leaks using appropriate testing equipment.
• Test electrical circuits, controls, and components using electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, controls, and wiring.
• Service and maintain chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Properly handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service needs, repairs performed, and job status.
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
• Maintain company equipment, tools, and assigned vehicle in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• Current Texas HVAC license required.
• Current EPA Certification required.
• Previous professional experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of chillers, heat pumps, air handlers, and geothermal systems.
• Strong HVAC, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely operate HVAC diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work independently in the field and effectively manage assigned service calls.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds.
