This role focuses on developing accurate conceptual and cost‑based detailed capital estimates in the context of TCO and ensuring adherence to Group policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities Work cooperatively with Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions US disciplines including solution development/proposals, E&I, Mechanical, Construction, Project Controls. Collaborate with other AL/E&C groups in Europe, India, Asia and elsewhere. Assist in worldwide engineering convergence efforts with other managers to foster global alignment. Prepare overall Capital Estimate (ISBL/BOP/OSBL/Owner’s Cost) at all stages, ensuring consistency with latest Facility Scope Definition, Project Execution Strategy Summary and Risk & Opportunity Profile. Develop and perform @Risk Monte‑Carlo ranges and evaluate the estimate P50. Communicate and provide rationale for estimating deliverables to support management decisions and commercial negotiations. Comply with E&C Global and local engineering standards and advance safety standards. Coordinate estimates from contributing groups and nurture interface relations with stakeholder and supplier elements to leverage AL tools and talents. Work with product and project groups to understand technical scope and division of work. Collaborate with the business group to model the commercial aspects of projects. Work closely with the CIG Benchmarking and Cost Integrity Manager to validate Target and investment CAPEX. Apply quality alignment and estimating procedures while providing input for continuous improvement. Contribute to benchmarking studies, recommend design standards and decisions through value analysis, design‑to‑cost and risk management techniques. Interact with key interfaces such as CIG, CI Hubs, WBL, external EPCs, subcontractors and suppliers. Analyze and monitor business performance during project development and execution, contributing to cost reference development and improvement. Participate in gate reviews such as PRB A/C/B/O. Key Tasks Develop and approve estimating plan and track development timelines. Review and approve revisions of Basis of Estimate. Stay informed on E&C estimating techniques, tools and formats. Optimize estimating methods and update training materials. Recommend necessary modifications to estimating strategies. Serve as a connector in capital estimate development and network with AL business lines/operations. Validate estimate deliverables and final capital estimates. Facilitate scope clarifications with internal and external partners. Collaborate on competitiveness reviews and risk/quality analysis for management reviews. Gather market information and analyze win/loss data to foster continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent engineering field. Valid U.S. employment authorization; no visa sponsorship required or available. Basic knowledge of Air Liquide’s technology portfolio, plant engineering, processes and tools. Experience estimating industrial projects, inclusive of risk processes (PRI, PRA, E&C Risk Analysis). Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to understand AL business objectives and apply estimating standards and procedures with excellent traceability. Proactive, team player, able to build respect with internal clients and stakeholders. Ability to work under significant pressure and adapt to changing environments. 5‑10 years of experience in an estimating function focusing on construction activities. Experience interfacing with Marketing, external customers and alliance partners. Strong organizational skills and understanding of vendor equipment used in industrial gas plants. Short‑term travel locally or internationally as required. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of French or German is an asset. Prior interactions with other AL Groups worldwide are an asset.
