Assistant ManagerThe Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager with all tasks related to a site's operation.Responsibilities and DutiesPerform select duties and responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence, for example, submitting daily paperwork, submitting approved orders, creating maintenance tickets, addressing scheduling issues, processing approved price changes, handling customer concerns or complaintsDemonstrate competent knowledge of Point of Sale and back office systemsResolve customer issues in a friendly and professional mannerAssign and inspect shift duties and responsibilitiesUnderstand and apply federal, state, and local labor laws as they apply to retail operationsAssist with promoting a strong safety culture by helping to ensure safety rules and regulations are being followedDemonstrate strong ability to manage multiple tasks at one timeInteract professionally with all team membersNot authorized to hire, fire, or promote employees but may be asked to make recommendations regarding employee performance and/or disciplinary issues.Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Work ExperiencePrior Retail or Management experience preferredAbility to reconcile shift reports and understand their purposeExcellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet demands, with excellent follow through.Ability to identify issues and make the necessary corrections effectively.Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.Candidate must be able to work any shift, Sunday – Saturday to support the company's business needs.Skill SetExperience with analyzing dataCritical attention to detailOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesLeadership SkillsProblem Solving SkillsCritical-Thinking SkillsPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to perform numerous physical activities that require considerable use of your hands, arms and legs and moving your whole body, including prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting of materials. Frequent lifting, grasping, and carrying materials and equipment up to 30 lbs. Proficient hand/eye dexterity is essential to operate cash register (EPOS) and to stock displays and coolers. Must be able to communicate well enough to receive instructions and provide information to others.
