Water Resources Engineer

We’re a growing civil engineering firm with a strong footprint across Virginia, and we’re looking for a Senior Water Resources Project Manager who can own complex projects, lead teams, and be a trusted technical voice for clients and agencies alike. This is not a back‑office role. This is a lead-from-the-front position. What You’ll Be Doing Drive stormwater, drainage, floodplain, and watershed projects from concept through construction Serve as Project Manager of Record —own scope, schedule, budget, and delivery Lead and mentor engineers and designers (and actually enjoy it) Coordinate with municipalities, VDOT, FEMA, and regulatory agencies Provide technical expertise in hydrologic & hydraulic modeling (HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, SWMM, etc.) Support business development, proposals, and client relationships What You Bring 10+ years of water resources / civil engineering experience Deep experience with stormwater management, floodplain analysis, and drainage design Strong project management instincts—you know how to run work, not just design it Comfortable leading clients, teams, and meetings Experience with Virginia localities, regulations, and permitting is a big plus Why This Role Rocks Senior‑level authority with real decision‑making power Diverse, technically challenging projects across Virginia Flexible work environment Clear path for leadership growth Ready to Make an Impact?
