Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Urgent Care / Occupational Medicine (1099) We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time locum tenens opportunity providing Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with a Monday-Friday schedule and no routine weekends or call. The provider will float between multiple clinic locations within the market, delivering high-quality care for workplace injuries, occupational health services, and walk-in urgent care patients. Contract length through 12/31 with potential to extend. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses. Provide episodic urgent care services for patients of all ages. Perform pre-employment, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations. Conduct workers' compensation evaluations and manage return-to-work cases. Perform common in-office procedures including: Incision and drainage Splinting and casting Wound care Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including X-rays and laboratory studies as appropriate. Communicate effectively with patients, employers, case managers, and clinic staff. Deliver excellent patient service while maintaining efficient patient flow. Qualifications Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the practicing state. MN license Previous Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Occupational Medicine experience preferred. Comfortable performing suturing and other minor procedures independently. DOT Medical Examiner Certification required before the first shift (training/certification assistance provided if needed). Ability to travel between multiple clinic locations within the assigned market. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and documentation skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
