Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Medical Science Liaison for the Rheumatology therapeutic area covering Southern California and Hawaii. The role involves developing scientific engagement strategies, building relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders, and delivering evidence-based medical information to support clinical care and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute territory-based scientific engagement strategy aligned with medical affairs priorities
Conduct evidence-based scientific dialogue with healthcare providers to identify unmet needs and educational gaps
Identify and cultivate relationships with community and academic opinion leaders in rheumatology
Collect and synthesize clinical insights to inform medical strategy and cross-functional planning
Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies while managing external research inquiries

Requirements

Expertise in rheumatology or immunology disease areas and treatment landscape
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders
Strong scientific communication skills for translating complex clinical evidence
Experience conducting high-quality scientific exchange and field-based engagement
Knowledge of medical affairs compliance, regulatory requirements, and investigator-initiated studies
Proficiency with data analysis tools and ability to generate actionable clinical insights
