Lead Interior Designer

Overview We are seeking a full-time, in-person Lead Designer to join our growing team at HHI Builders. This is a senior-level role for an experienced residential designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys both the creative and technical sides of design. Responsibilities Lead design efforts for residential projects, from concept through construction-ready plans, with a focus on translating client goals into thoughtful, functional, and buildable designs. Work on projects including single-room remodels (kitchens and bathrooms), whole-home renovations, additions, screen porches, and garage additions. Allocate time approximately 70% design and 30% client-facing work; guide clients through design decisions and material selections. Collaborate closely with the architectural designer and draftsman to ensure coordinated, construction-ready documentation. Contribute to shaping and improving the design department as the company grows, with strong potential for leadership and overseeing additional designers in the future. Qualifications Senior-level residential designer with demonstrated experience in in-person project delivery and a portfolio of relevant work. Strong design instincts, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to translate client goals into cohesive, buildable designs. Experience collaborating with architectural designers and draftsmen to produce construction-ready plans.
