For further information on Enerpac Tool Group and its businesses, visit the Company's website at .Summary - basic function of the role The Maintenance Technician supports safe and reliable manufacturing operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, completing repairs, and assisting with equipment installation and modification. This position is responsible for helping minimize production downtime and maintaining machinery, test fixtures, manufacturing equipment, and facility systems in safe and effective operating condition. Shift: Monday - Friday; 7 - 3:30 pm or 7:30 - 4:00 pm; flexible Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, test fixtures, facility systems, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs safely and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and priorities with the Maintenance Supervisor and production leadership.
- Install, set up, modify, test, and support the startup of new or existing machinery and equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential failures, safety concerns, and opportunities to improve reliability.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, parts used, and other maintenance activities.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements, and promptly report unsafe conditions.
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measurement instruments safely and effectively.
- Perform welding, fabrication, equipment calibration, and facility-maintenance activities as qualified and assigned.
- Assist with maintaining plant property, utilities, building systems, and equipment in good working condition.
- Safely handle and properly dispose of solvents, lubricants, chemicals, hazardous materials, and maintenance-related waste.
- Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, completed work, and operational risks to appropriate employees and leaders.
- Work with production employees, other support functions, vendors, and equipment suppliers to diagnose problems and develop safe, practical solutions.
- Obtain approval for purchases in accordance with established company authorization requirements and assist with evaluating repair-versus-replacement options.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area and properly care for company tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Perform other related duties consistent with the position's purpose and level of responsibility.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, equipment drawings, instructions, and safety documentation.
- Ability to use test equipment and interpret measurements related to mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Working knowledge of equipment calibration and preventive-maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic tools, and measurement instruments.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures involving electricity, hydraulic pressure, pneumatic pressure, hazardous materials, chemicals, and equipment operation.
- Ability to analyze equipment problems and develop safe, practical, and cost-conscious solutions.
- Ability to prioritize work and remain effective when responding to time-sensitive equipment failures.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and determine when additional technical or supervisory support is needed.
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and plant systems, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees, leaders, vendors, and equipment suppliers.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and documentation..
Certification Requirements : Licenses and certificates in skilled trades are beneficial. Physical Demands While performing the essential duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and use their hands to operate tools and equipment. The employee must be able to move throughout a manufacturing facility and access equipment in a variety of work locations, including elevated and limited-access areas. The employee is frequently required to lift and move work materials weighing up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to handle heavier materials using appropriate assistance or material-handling equipment. The position may also require climbing ladders and operating approved lifts. The employee must be able to observe equipment conditions and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. The employee is required to follow established safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment based on the work being performed.
