Ops Manager Hauling

Principal Responsibilities Manages a staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and the development of supervisory goals and objectives. Leads the implementation and execution of plans that complement the business unit’s strategic and operating plan, championing tactical initiatives to maximize customer experience, growth, and profitability. Ensures maximum productivity and route management systems for commercial, roll‑off, and residential routes, establishes productivity goals, and enforces operating standards while managing labor hours and disposal expenses. Interacts with customers and government agencies to resolve service concerns and maintain regulatory compliance. Oversees safety and accident prevention programs, ensuring a safe work environment and maintaining a comprehensive loss‑control program. Leads compliance with environmental, regulatory, safety, accounting, and ethical standards. Approves expenses and manages the department budget, including purchase orders and vendor pricing. Builds a high‑performance team, drives best‑practice sharing, and maintains relationships with government, community, and environmental groups. Qualifications Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking, and execution against formulated strategy. Proven ability to lead change initiatives and direct large staff. Process‑oriented, results‑oriented, and committed to organizational success. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience or participation in Republic Services’ management trainee program.
