Weed Law Group, PC is seeking a motivated Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join our Walnut Creek office. This is a great opportunity for a California-licensed attorney with 1–3 years of law firm experience who wants hands-on litigation exposure, direct client interaction, and mentorship in a supportive small-firm environment.

Our firm handles a variety of matters, including civil litigation, probate litigation, estate planning, tax law, family law, and restraining orders . The Associate Attorney will assist with legal research, drafting, case strategy, client communication, hearings, mediations, and case management from intake through resolution.

Compensation: $100,000–$120,000 starting salary, based on experience. Attorneys may be eligible for a raise after the 90-day probation period based on billable requirements, workload management, and meeting deadlines. Attorneys can also earn a 20% bonus for originating clients .

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research to support case preparation and litigation strategy
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents
• Assist with civil litigation, probate litigation, family law, and related matters
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings as needed
• Communicate with clients and provide timely updates on case progress
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and client matters
• Maintain organized case files and ensure deadlines are met
• Stay current on relevant laws, court rules, regulations, and legal trends

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar admission required
• 1–3 years of attorney experience in a law office setting
• Litigation and/or probate law experience preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills
• Excellent grammar, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
• Collaborative, proactive, and client-focused approach
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available

Work Location: In person at our Walnut Creek location
