Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with 2+ years of OB/GYN experience and required ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high-risk pregnancy clinic setting.

Details

• Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one medical center and 2 rooms at an affiliated hospital
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
• Patient population includes high-risk maternal and fetal conditions requiring detailed ultrasound imaging
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No nights, no weekends, no on-call requirements
• No major holidays required, though must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays
• Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs, including between sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of OB/GYN and outpatient sonography experience
• Current BLS, ARDMS, and ARDMS OB/GYN certification required, NT certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Fetal echo experience required
• Proficiency with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging, fetal anatomical survey, nuchal translucency screen, amniotic fluid index, umbilical cord doppler, and multiple pregnancy imaging
• Skilled in transvaginal and transabdominal imaging of uterus, ovaries, and renal/pelvis structures
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Perform detailed high-risk obstetric ultrasounds and report findings directly to physicians
• Scrubs of any color accepted, no prints
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period but must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of consideration, as post-offer time off may not be accommodated
