Located on eight beautiful landscaped acres, we also provide sub-acute services, wound care and respite services.The mission of Island Nursing and Rehab Center is to provide the highest quality of care to all residents/patients in a manner that ensures respect, dignity, compassion, sensitivity and concern.The vision of Island Nursing and Rehab Center is to achieve the highest level of resident/patient care services by focusing on resident/patient satisfaction and to serve as a center of excellence for our specialty programs, as well as a high-quality provider of care to the elderly and physically frail population in our community.We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing.Qualifications:Licensed in the State of New York as a Registered Professional Nurse. Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of three years' experience in a Long-Term Care Facility and/or five years progressive nursing management experience. Candidate must possess (or obtain within 12 months from date of hire) PRI Certification. Candidate must have demonstrated clinical competence in nursing practice and should possess knowledge of the principles and practice of teaching, administration and communication skills. Candidate must possess certification (or obtain in 12 months) in Infection Control Preventionist.General Objectives:The Assistant Director of Nursing Services is required to assist the Director of Nursing in the planning, organizing, controlling and directing of nursing services to ensure that optimal achievable quality nursing care is provided to all residents. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services is required to direct all activities toward the fulfillment of the philosophy, goals and objectives of the facility.
