We are currently looking for an experiencedDirector of Building Systems & Capital Planningto lead the strategic management, preservation, and long-term performance of our senior living portfolio. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and enjoys collaborating across operations, construction, and executive leadership. What You'll Do Lead capital planning and asset preservation strategies across a multi-state senior living portfolio. Develop and manage 5- and 10-year capital improvement plans and annual CapEx budgets. Evaluate major building systems including HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, elevators, fire/life safety, building envelope, and site infrastructure. Oversee capital improvement and renovation projects from planning through completion. Partner with Operations to ensure communities remain safe, compliant, attractive, and operating at peak performance. Manage contractors, consultants, national vendor relationships, and project budgets. Conduct property assessments, identify risks, and develop long-term solutions that protect our assets. Support emergency response planning, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives. Mentor and collaborate with maintenance and project teams while promoting best practices across the portfolio. What We're Looking For 8-10 years of progressive property, facilities, construction, or asset management experience within senior living, multifamily, or comparable real estate portfolios. Experience managing portfolios exceeding 4,000 residential units or similar asset value. Strong knowledge of commercial building systems, capital planning, budgeting, and lifecycle asset management. Proven success leading large-scale renovations, building system replacements, and capital projects. Experience managing vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Construction Management, Engineering, Property Management, or a related field preferred.
