Late morning, you're on-site at a warehouse doing a needs assessment, walking the property and taking notes for a proposal. After lunch you sit down with estimating to firm up pricing on a bid you're chasing, then update your CRM pipeline before a call with a General Contractor about an upcoming new-build opportunity. You close the day following up on a proposal you sent last week — and if it didn't land, figuring out why so you can adjust the next one. The Role ● Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within your territory; build and manage a pipeline. ● Develop relationships within the local community and follow up on website-generated leads. ● Qualify for local municipal bid opportunities and General Contractor new-build opportunities. ● Track opportunities in CRM; follow up with estimating to ensure timely response. ● Conduct site visits for needs assessment; develop project scope and review with the customer before submitting to estimating. ● Prepare and present proposals in a timely manner; follow up and answer questions. ● Collaborate with Estimating and Service Management teams throughout each project. ● Track and analyze sales and marketing data to identify trends and improve conversion rates over time. What You Bring — Must-Haves ● Demonstrated success in sales and business development — hunter mentality matters more than specific industry background. ● Strong project management skills — able to scope requirements, source materials, and produce accurate estimates. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong negotiation ability. What You Bring — Nice-to-Haves ● Prior product sales experience — elevator and automotive sales are strong transition industries, both building the electrical-to-mechanical understanding this role needs. ● Experience with CRM systems and structured pipeline management. ● Prior sales team leadership or mentorship experience.
