Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1+ years of Critical Care experience required License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EKG Must-Have: Trachs, vents, and drips experience Description: RN position supports a Step Down ICU. The role involves working nights from 7 PM to 7 AM. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, and EKG. Experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, and medication drips is required. The unit typically manages a patient ratio of 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Standard nursing equipment is utilized on the unit. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Candidates should be team players who prioritize positive patient outcomes. Effective communication skills are essential for success in this role. The dress code requires black scrubs with no unacceptable attire. Essential responsibilities include providing care to medical and telemetry adult patients. Weekend shifts may be required as needed. Candidates should be prepared to work major winter holidays when necessary.
