Physical Therapy Assistant

Assignment Details: Contract Weeks: 12, Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administers the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Performs non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and various modalities to patients.
• Accurately documents client status and submits clinical paperwork on time.
• Attends educational meetings and contributes to department in-services.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment failures, lack of supplies, and any departmental changes.
• Schedules clients and performs varied office tasks.
• Applies concepts of infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
