HR Office Assistant (Seasonal Part-Time)

General Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, dependable individual who enjoys working with people and providing welcoming and professional experience for employees, applicants, and visitors. This position provides front-desk and administrative support to the Human Resources department by responding to phone calls and emails, assisting visitors, and supporting day-to-day departmental needs. This is a part-time, temporary position working approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The position is expected to begin November 30 and end approximately March 5, with no extension anticipated.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Answer and direct basic inquiries from internal and external customers by phone, email, and in person.
• Provide front-desk and general administrative support to the department.
• Assist with mailings, sorting and distributing mail.
• Assist with I9 verifications.
• Provide general clerical support to department staff as needed includes filing, copying, Printing and Data entry.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Activities With/Without Reasonable Accommodation

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing. The position involves occasional (10-33%) driving to events and meetings away from KCC's main campus.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency;

Preferred Qualifications, Licenses, Certifications, or Registrations

• Experience working in an office or providing clerical support is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
