Registered Nurse - Cardiac Tele

Travel Nurse - Telemetry/PCURTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. ***13 to 26 week contracts*** Floating required as needed; potential to float every shift. Required skills/certs/exp: Minimum years of experience: 2 years. Required traveler experience: Unit will accept first-time travelers. Locals accepted/rate difference: Yes. Skills: Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring required. Pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, and sheath removal experience required. Accessing ports, blood product administration, central line/care management, PICC line management, cardiac drip-titrate Diltiazem and Amiodarone, post cardiac cath experience. Certs: ACLS preferred. Skills: Charge experience. Certs: NIH. Ratios: 1:6-7. Shift: 12-hour nights; *36 hours only can be offered! -13-26 weeks accepted. RTO: 7 days max for AYA auto offer. Float requirement: Yes required as needed; potential to float every shift. Weekend requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts (equates to every other weekend). Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a storm team and/or hurricane team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster. Consolidation to the centralized office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. Patient diagnoses: Congestive heart failure; arrhythmias; post cardiac cath. Special procedures/unit details: Unit monitors cardiac patients. Cardiac drips (Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, etc). Sheaths pulls, TR bands, Femstop. Unit systems (medication, documentation, communication): Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR. Scheduling type: Self, per the unit needs. Unit orientation: 24 hours. Scrubs: Not provided. Navy ***Internal notes*** *Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.
