About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of Land & Site Acquisition for Data Centers. This executive will be responsible for leading the strategic process of identifying and acquiring sites for the development of data centers, with a focus on meeting the needs of major cloud and AI customers. The role involves owning the acquisition process from market strategy to site readiness, and requires close collaboration with various internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as executive leadership, the Board, investors, utilities, landowners, municipalities, and tenants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large-scale, mission-critical real estate and data center development, and will be adept at negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing the acquisition process through to construction readiness. Candidates for the Head of Land & Site Acquisition position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for an MBA or graduate degree, and at least 10 years' experience in large-scale real estate transactions and team management. The role demands a strategic executive with a proven track record in site acquisition and development, particularly for large-scale data center campuses. The successful candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding of data center site requirements, infrastructure, power availability, and development processes, as well as the ability to engage with local communities and stakeholders. Executive presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed are also essential.
