Scope – Strategic Advisor (Hardlines)The Strategic Advisor is a Director-level position and plays a critical role within our Supply Chain Advisory team by supporting and delivering strategic advisory engagements that help clients optimize and transform their supply chain operations through the application of Blue Yonder software solutions. This role leads design workstreams, develops strategic recommendations, sells and expands SaaS deals, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value to customers.The ideal candidate has strong supply chain expertise, proven experience in the Retail Hardlines industry and/or management consulting, and the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.What you’ll do Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives and projects.Work with Solution Advisors on building software and advisory services pipeline in the Hardlines and Softlines industry verticalsLead the blueprinting / high level design phase of projects at key Hard Lines customers - business process, key design decisions and enterprise architectureBuild and present recommendations for customer leadership, ensuring insights are grounded in data and aligned with customer business goals.Support team leadership in shaping engagement strategy, deliverable quality, and client communications.Participate in thought leadership efforts, including market research, internal frameworks, and executive-ready content.Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solution rollouts and strategic initiatives.Identify and prioritize growth opportunities through data-driven analysis and industry insights.Ensure high quality deliverables and client satisfaction.Key SkillsPossess deep Retail Hardlines knowledge, understands market trends, organizational strengths, gaps, and whitespace opportunitiesExperienced in guiding customers through best-practice solution deployments; not afraid to challenge assumptions early in the project life cycleStrong storytelling skills with ability to relate solution demos to the day-to-day work and outcomes our customer requiresAbility to gather, synthesize, and interpret data from industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and roadmap developmentAble to provide Change Management advisory through our customers’ business transformationConfidently leads process design and serves as a design authorityEffectively engages with executive leadership, C-level clients, industry partners, and global forumsStrong presentation skills (e.g. can convey strategic recommendations, influence decision-making, and represent Blue Yonder in high-impact environments)Expertise to design, launch, and optimize industry-specific solutions and go-to-market plans (developing integrated product offerings, tailoring strategies to industry needs, ensuring competitive positioning in the marketplace)What we are looking for 10+ years’ combined experience within a Tier 1 Retail-Hardlines organization and / or management consulting supporting retail customersExperience having both operated within and transformed core business processes, including managing teams that execute day‑to‑day operations and contributing to the design or improvement of those processes within a Tier 1 retail organizationStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to influence C-Level Executives and proven experience as a ‘trusted advisor’Strong process modeling skillsProven track record of delivering successful strategic initiatives and projects across Retail Hardlines and/or Softlines industries*LI-AD1#LI-remote-------------------------------------------The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $185,000 USD, plus a variable component.The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.
