Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for diverse populations including pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using established assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's short-term and long-term communications, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Facilitate personalized speech therapy sessions with a focus on communication, voice, language, and safety in swallowing.
• Work in tandem with occupational and physical therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to establish cohesive strategies for patient care.
• Educate patients and families to ensure continued progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Perform occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Implement effective documentation practices in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and mentorship opportunities.

Required Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not holding ASHA certification.

Licenses and Certifications

• Possession of a valid state license as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be attained within the first month of employment.
