Job Description

Trucordia is seeking an IT & Technology Strategic Sourcing Leader, Enterprise Procurement to support the building and scaling of a modern procurement organization that supports enterprise growth, operational excellence, supplier governance, and value creation. This role is responsible for leading sourcing initiatives, developing category strategies, building category playbooks, creating supplier strategies, managing commercial negotiations, and partnering with business stakeholders across software, cybersecurity, AI/SaaS, IT, professional services, and assigned indirect categories.

The successful candidate will contribute to the continued development of Trucordia’s procurement operating model by helping create scalable sourcing capabilities, category management disciplines, supplier governance practices, technology-enabled processes, and data-driven decision making.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across software, cybersecurity, AI/SaaS, IT, professional services, and assigned indirect categories.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned to enterprise objectives.
• Conduct market analysis, supplier assessments, benchmarking, and sourcing events.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and identify value creation opportunities.

Category Strategy & Ownership

• Develop category strategies, supplier strategies, multi-year roadmaps, category playbooks, and governance approaches that support enterprise priorities and business growth.
• Maintain supplier segmentation, renewal visibility, preferred supplier programs, and category governance approaches.
• Monitor technology markets, licensing and consumption models, pricing movements, supplier innovation, risks, cybersecurity developments, and emerging AI solutions.
• Provide category intelligence, benchmarking insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Translate enterprise technology priorities into category-level sourcing and supplier strategies.

Business Partnership

• Build trusted relationships across IT, Cybersecurity, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Operations, and other business functions.
• Engage stakeholders early to influence technology requirements, supplier decisions, commercial strategies, and build-versus-buy considerations.

Supplier & Contract Management

• Support supplier lifecycle management, performance management, renewal planning, supplier rationalization, and supplier optimization initiatives.
• Negotiate software licensing, SaaS subscriptions, AI solutions, cybersecurity platforms, IT services, implementation services, and professional services arrangements.
• Address pricing, usage and consumption commitments, renewal escalators, audit and true-up exposure, service levels, termination rights, data rights, and total cost of ownership.

Procurement Transformation

• Support procurement policies, technology acquisition governance, third-party risk requirements, operating model improvements, tools, templates, and sourcing frameworks.

Technology, Analytics, & AI Enablement

• Analyze technology spend, supplier, contract, licensing, usage, renewal, and category data.
• Develop executive-ready presentations, reporting, business cases, and recommendations.
• Utilize Excel, Power BI, AI-enabled tools, and procurement technologies to improve business outcomes.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience, plus 5+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Category Management, Supplier Management, or Supply Chain, with demonstrated responsibility for software, cybersecurity, AI/SaaS, IT, or technology services categories.
• Demonstrated success leading complex technology sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations, with strong understanding of software licensing, SaaS subscription/consumption models, cybersecurity requirements, and technology commercial constructs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI; NetSuite or equivalent ERP; Zip or equivalent procurement workflow platform; and Jira or equivalent project management tool. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, software asset management, SaaS management, and third-party risk tools is a plus.
• Comfortable independently analyzing technology spend, licensing, usage, supplier, contract, and category data, and building business cases and executive presentations that translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, and evolving environments, with the flexibility and judgment to contribute beyond traditional functional boundaries.

 

Nice to have:

• Experience developing technology category strategies, playbooks, supplier segmentation models, sourcing roadmaps, and renewal governance.
• Experience negotiating enterprise software, SaaS, cybersecurity, AI, cloud, managed services, implementation, or IT professional services agreements.
• Experience managing technology categories in insurance, financial services, professional services, technology, or other complex enterprise environments.
• Skilled in spend, supplier, licensing, usage, and benchmarking analysis, with a track record of turning findings into decision-support materials for leadership.
• Experience supporting procurement transformation initiatives and multi-site, acquisition-driven, or high-growth organizations.
