Registered Veterinary Technician Supervisor

to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our fast-paced multi-doctor practice located in Long Beach. Our practice provides high-quality care for our patients with a positive, team-oriented work environment.

3080 Woodruff Ave Suite B, Long Beach, CA 90808Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday to Friday with occasional SaturdaysSalary:

$23 - $32.75 per hour

As Technician Supervisor you will be responsible for the development, mentorship and retention of the other Veterinary Technicians and Assistants reporting to you.

RequirementsHigh school diploma requiredFluent in English (reading, writing and oral)3-5 years of clinical experienceCertification requiredDentistry skills including extractionsExperience in leadership and/or management

Hospital Support

Ensure a smooth workflow each day that strives to provide excellent patient care in a timely mannerResponsible for creating and releasing the Technician department schedule in a timely mannerResponsible for scheduling and leading monthly Technician department meetingsOrder and maintain the appropriate inventory of medical supplies for the hospital, including Controlled SubstancesResponsible for maintaining machinery and working with Hospital leadership to ensure repairs are completed in a timely mannerWork with Hospital leadership to conduct reviews and create development plans for direct reportsLead or sit-in during disciplinary conversations for direct reports

Training

Work with the hospital leadership team and Regional Technician Director to develop and implement training tools and development plansAssist with the improvement of patient workflow and help doctors better understand support staff skillset with the goal of improving overall patient careWork with hospital leadership to deliver effective new hire orientation promoting retention of new employeesEngage in solution-focused discussions to promote support staff input and collaborationResponsible for the growth and talent development of direct reportsEstablishing opportunities for student internships and externships to meet educational requirements for the hospital’s students
