RN - Clinical Supervisor, Cardiac Surgical Stepdown Unit

Weekend Nights (Direct Hire), Tulsa, OK

Start Date: 6/29/2026

Unit: Cardiac Surgical Step Down (Premium Weekend)

Pay Rate: $40.12 per hour

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday)

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Surgical Step Down experience.
• Must have 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.

Job Summary: Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved standards and guidelines for nursing care and within established budget parameters. Provides clinical expertise in patient placement. Communicates appropriately to define and resolve immediate problems and promote continuity of patient care. Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages human resources to maintain compliance with approved nursing standards.
• Evaluates and adjusts staffing requirements for current and next shifts.
• Evaluates, coaches, and counsels nursing personnel.
• Provides clinical expertise in patient placement.
• Facilitates patient movement through assessment of patient needs and coordination of transfers.
• Serves as a clinical resource for patient care activities and problem resolution.
• Monitors and evaluates standards of care.
• Assists in revision and development of unit policies and procedures.
• Identifies education and training needs of personnel and implements in-service programs.

Decision Making:

• Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives.

Working Relationships:

• Direct supervision of others.
• Prepares and gives performance evaluations.
• Works with internal and external customers and other healthcare professionals frequently at Director level or above.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of general disease state management, biopsychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle conflict management effectively.

Required Education:

• Completion of the basic professional curriculum of an accredited school of nursing.

Required Certifications and Licensure:

• Valid multistate RN license or State of Oklahoma RN license.
