Outdoor Receiving Clerk (Storeroom Clerk)

Now hiring in West Columbia, SC. Pay: $21+/hr. Schedule: Full-Time | 40+ Hours/Week. Express Employment Professionals is seeking an outdoor receiving clerk (storeroom clerk) to join a leading industrial manufacturing facility in West Columbia, SC. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating forklifts, and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations in an outdoor industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments and materials
• Unload trucks and transport materials using a forklift
• Maintain inventory records and perform cycle counts
• Enter inventory transactions into inventory management systems
• Utilize barcode scanners to track materials
• Organize and stock warehouse and storeroom inventory
• Process shipping and receiving documentation
• Support inventory audits and reconciliation efforts
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, receiving, or storeroom experience preferred
• Sit-down forklift experience required
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and data entry
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting
• Experience using barcode scanners and inventory systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor industrial sand mill environment
• Exposure to weather, dust, equipment, and industrial conditions
• Steel-toe boots required
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
